Why media retrieval, retention, and clean history views are essential to trust in a real AI workspace.
A generation experience feels magical only until the moment someone asks, “Where did the file go?” At that point, storage and history stop being secondary features and become the product itself.
That is why we treated media retrieval, signed access, retention rules, and history views as first-class work. Users need to know what was created, what it cost, whether it is still available, and how to get it back without guesswork.
We also had to split expectations clearly. Master media is temporary by design, while tenant storage is persistent and quota-based. Those two worlds solve different problems and should not pretend to behave the same way.
A clean history page is not just a nice dashboard. It is operational trust. The faster someone can understand what happened to a job and what file came out of it, the more usable the workspace becomes.
In practice, a lot of “AI reliability” is not model reliability at all. It is storage, tracking, retention, and clarity.
